Citizens Gathered At July 4th Tea Party To Voice Opposition To Oppressive Government Programs

Citizens from across Chicagoland joined together at Free and Equal’s July 4th Tea Party at Chicago’s Navy Pier. The protesters were united over their opposition of oppressive government programs, like the crippling income tax hike that has been pushed forward by Governor Pat Quinn.

Illinois Congressional candidate Isaac Hayes was also in attendance at the July 4th Tea Party. Hayes who is preparing for the Illinois 2nd Congressional district race of 2010 showed his support for Illinois taxpayers by signing Tax Accountability’s 2009 Tax Pledge.
