SOVIET-STYLE LOCKDOWNS CAUSING UNNECESSARY DEATHS WORLDWIDE

Even a left-wing international alliance of social activists now admits that more people could die from the lockdown-induced economic downturns than from the Corona virus itself, according to a report from the Committee to Unleash Prosperity, in its report #69. The liberal confederation, Oxfam, stated that “By the end of the year 12,000 people per day could die from hunger linked to COVID-19, with ten countries such as Yemen, Venezuela and Syria identified as ‘hunger hotspots.’”

“While people in other countries are dying from starvation due to the lockdowns, Americans are dying needlessly because the lockdowns in this country are preventing them from getting prompt medical diagnoses,” said Jim Tobin, economist and president of Taxpayer Education Foundation (TEF). “By the time heart problems and cancers are discovered, it’s often too late for medical intervention.”

According to the report, “Oxfam says the severe economic lockdowns have led to mass unemployment all over the world. The International Labor Organization estimates that the equivalent of 305 million full-time jobs have been lost because of the lockdowns, many of which remain in place four months after being imposed.”

“It’s time to reopen our society and let people earn a living. The virus is in the wild, and until researchers come up with an effective treatment or a vaccine, only herd immunity will stop its spread,” said Tobin.
